Tim has over 25 years experience in all aspects of commercial litigation having advised and acted on a large number of complex and high value claims.  Tim has particular expertise in:

Recent work advising

  • an offshore trust (St Vincent and the Grenadines) regarding a dispute over the true ownership of the Trust’s assets
  • a director of an offshore company on the jurisdiction of the English Courts to compel the director to submit to a public examination under Section 133 of the Insolvency Act 1986
  • a large regional distributor based in the Midlands, facing a claim for conspiracy and breach of confidential information and damages of £7m from a trade rival
  • the liquidator of a travel company pursuing a potential claim against the company’s auditors for negligence in the auditing of the company’s accounts that preceded the insolvency
  • an international stockbroker in a claim for specific performance of a contract for sale of shares entered into by the broker on behalf of its defaulting client
