Chris specialises in commercial property working in all key areas advising on the acquisition, development, funding and letting of commercial property. He specialises in commercial property development work acting for a wide variety of clients, from property developers of all sizes to user occupiers, investors and funds.

Chris has regularly been featured in the Legal 500 in connection with both his development practice and his work in compulsory purchase.

He is best known for heading up the real estate group pursuing compensation claims for more than 100 businesses previously located within the site for the 2012 London Olympics. Chris acts for a number of businesses affected by Crossrail and he and his team are leading experts in this area. Chris is also a member of the Compulsory Purchase Association.

  • X-Leisure on the investment sale of their Grants of Croydon Leisure Park 
  • Aspinall's Group on the property aspects of their successful bids for the UK's first large casino licence in Stratford and large casino licence in Milton Keynes
  • Various Stratus limited liability partnerships in connection with their purchase and residential development of sites in St. Katherines Dock London, St. John's Wood London, Croydon and East Grinstead
  • Kitewood Estates on the purchase and development of 3 sites in Greenwich comprising mixed use development including 140 residential units
  • Ardmore Construction on a joint venture development of a 20 acre commercial site in Wolverhampton
     
  • Byrne Estates on various aspects of their £50m residential development in Chigwell
  • Tepbrook Properties in connection with lettings and on-going management of their prestigious Smith Square, London premises
  • Minton Group regarding their on-going commercial property requirements in connection with their property portfolio
  • Various individual developers and operators in connection with various planning agreements including Section 106 Agreements
  • on the relocation of the businesses affected by the Olympic proposals and their compensation claims
  • Royal Bank of Canada on the funding and securitisation of various commercial properties and commercial property portfolios
  • a number of individual developers, leisure operators and retail clients servicing their on-going commercial property requirements
